James Fogarty is the managing director with overall responsibility for design development and construction supervision of all projects within the practice.
He has over 25 years experience in Ireland and overseas in design, project management and cost management of a wide range of industrial, commercial, healthcare, leisure, retail projects.

Supporting the principals of EDP are a dedicated team of Electrical and Mechanical Design engineers, technicians and draughtspersons.
These engineers are fully conversant with the most up to date design packages located in our modern business facility at Centrepoint Business Park.
Our design engineers have access to the latest software for building performance, dynamic simulation packages, interior and exterior lighting design, dynamic energy assessment packages that include environmental influences, daylight influences, heat gains and losses.
Energy Performance Building Directive (EPBD)
The company personnel are fully conversant with the most up to date information available on the new EPBD and on the current building regulations thus allowing us to design to a very high efficiency and sustainable standard.
It is the policy of EDP to ensure that all its principals and staff continue to maintain a full and thorough understanding of the current building standards and regulations of the industry. To achieve this, ongoing continuous professional development courses are undertaken and our principals play an active role on the committee of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers and the Society of Light and Lighting.
In addition to these institutions, we are members of the Institute of Engineers Ireland and the ASHRAE organisation. EDP have representatives on the committees liasing and interfacing with Sustainable Energy Ireland on the introduction and enforcement of the Energy Performance Building Directive. This will remain our progressive policy for now and the future.

Martin Pordes has 15 years experience in consultancy and has been involved in the design, management and control of a wide range of projects in the industrial, commercial, retail, leisure and residential areas.
